นายกิตติรัตน์ ณ ระนอง อดีตรองนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการคลัง ประธานในพิธีเปิดงาน กล่าวว่า “อุตสาหกรรมยานยนต์ถือเป็นหนึ่งในอุตสาหกรรมสำคัญที่มีบทบาทต่อการขับเคลื่อนเศรษฐกิจไทย โดยคิดเป็น 10% ของ GDP และเชื่อมโยงกับผู้ประกอบการในห่วงโซ่อุปทานจำนวนมาก ขณะที่ตลาดชิ้นส่วนอะไหล่ทดแทน (REM) มีสัดส่วนถึง 60–70% ของมูลค่าตลาดชิ้นส่วนในประเทศ สะท้อนถึงโอกาสของธุรกิจ Aftermarket นอกจากนี้ ในช่วง 2 เดือนแรกของปี 2569 มูลค่าการส่งออกชิ้นส่วนยานยนต์ของไทยขยายตัวเพิ่มขึ้น 4.7% เมื่อเทียบกับช่วงเดียวกันของปีก่อน ยืนยันถึงศักยภาพการแข่งขันในตลาดโลก และโอกาสในการขยายตัวของอุตสาหกรรมในอนาคต

Bangkok Auto Salon 2026 (BAS 2026), ASEAN’s biggest automotive exhibition and aftermarket showcase, officially kicks off today. Now in its 12th edition, the event is held under the concept “Celebrate Bangkok Destination,” celebrating Bangkok as a must-visit destination for custom car enthusiasts across ASEAN.
The show brings together legendary custom builds from Japan, special cars from leading automakers, world-renowned tuning garages, and more than 200 automotive accessory brands, alongside a full lineup of indoor and outdoor activities covering drifting, car clubs, motorsport, and automotive lifestyle. The event runs August 26–30, 2026, at Hall 100, BITEC Bangna.
Mr. Kittiratt Na-Ranong, former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of Thailand, and Chairman of the Opening Ceremony, said, “The automotive industry is one of Thailand’s key economic drivers, accounting for approximately 10% of the country’s GDP and connecting a vast network of businesses across the supply chain. “Meanwhile, the replacement equipment market (REM) accounts for approximately 60–70% of the domestic automotive parts market, highlighting the strong potential of Thailand’s aftermarket industry. In addition, during the first two months of 2026, Thailand’s automotive parts exports grew by 4.7% compared with the same period last year. This demonstrates Thailand’s competitiveness in the global market and the continued growth potential of the automotive industry.”
