แอปเรียกรถ Maxim เผยยอดการใช้รถยนต์ไฟฟ้า (EV) เพิ่มขึ้นสูงถึง 40% ท่ามกลางวิกฤติ PM 2.5 ในกรุงเทพฯ และเชียงใหม่ การปรับเปลี่ยนพฤติกรรมดังกล่าวสะท้อนถึงมุมมองของคนในชุมชนต่อปัญหาคุณภาพอากาศ และการมีส่วนร่วมในการลดผลกระทบจากมลพิษในพื้นที่
มลพิษ PM 2.5 ส่งผลกระทบต่อประชาชนชาวไทยหลายล้านคนโดยเฉพาะในด้านสุขภาพ ทางเลือกการเดินทางที่ยั่งยืนจึงเป็นเรื่องสำคัญที่ไม่ควรมองข้าม การให้บริการรถยนต์ไฟฟ้า (EV) ของแอปเรียกรถ Maxim ถือเป็นอีกหนึ่งทางเลือกที่ช่วยลดมลพิษทางอากาศได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ โดยจากการศึกษาของมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ พบว่าการเผาไหม้ของเครื่องยนต์เป็นแหล่งกำเนิดสำคัญของมลพิษ PM 2.5 โดยคิดเป็นสัดส่วนสูงถึง 57% นอกจากนี้ รถยนต์ไฟฟ้าเพียง 1 คัน ยังสามารถลดการปล่อยก๊าซคาร์บอนไดออกไซด์ได้เฉลี่ย 1.5 ตันต่อปี ซึ่งเป็นการช่วยแก้ปัญหาสิ่งแวดล้อมที่เร่งด่วนนี้ได้โดยตรง
“เราได้ตระหนักถึงปัญหามลพิษ PM 2.5 ซึ่งเป็นประเด็นเร่งด่วนที่ต้องได้รับการแก้ไขอย่างจริงจัง การเพิ่มบริการรถยนต์ไฟฟ้าเป็นการแก้ไขปัญหาคุณภาพอากาศโดยตรงและยังส่งผลต่อสุขภาพของคนในชุมชนระยะยาว” นายพงศ์พัฒน์ อักษราวรกานต์ ผู้บริหารแอปพลิเคชัน Maxim ประเทศไทย กล่าว
“เราดีใจที่เห็นว่าผู้ใช้งานจำนวนมากให้ความสำคัญกับปัญหานี้เช่นเดียวกับเรา การปรับเปลี่ยนพฤติกรรมนี้ชี้ให้เห็นว่าผู้คนหันมาเลือกใช้รูปแบบการเดินทางที่ยั่งยืนมากขึ้น ซึ่งเป็นแรงผลักดันให้เราขยายบริการที่เป็นมิตรต่อสิ่งแวดล้อมต่อไป” นายพงศ์พัฒน์ กล่าวเสริม
ปัจจุบัน แอปเรียกรถ Maxim มีรถยนต์ไฟฟ้าที่ให้บริการกว่า 2,500 คัน ในกรุงเทพฯ และเชียงใหม่ เพื่อให้ผู้โดยสารมีทางเลือกในการเดินทางที่สะดวกสบายและยั่งยืน ซึ่งไม่เพียงแต่เป็นการแก้ไขวิกฤติทางอากาศได้โดยตรง แต่ยังแก้ไขปัญหาสุขภาพของคนในชุมชนได้ในระยะยาว

Maxim, the leading ride-hailing service, has observed a significant 40% increase in the use of electric vehicle (EV) tariffs as Bangkok and Chiang Mai face hazardous PM 2.5 air pollution levels. The rise in EV usage highlights a shift toward greener transportation as communities seek practical ways to combat air quality issues.
As PM 2.5 pollution impacts millions of residents, Maxim’s adoption of EVs offers a cleaner alternative to traditional vehicles. A study by Thammasat University found that engine combustion is a major source of PM 2.5 pollution, accounting for up to 57%. Additionally, a single EV can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by an average of 1.5 tons per year, directly addressing this pressing environmental issue.
“Our focus is on creating positive change for the people in the areas we serve, so we understand the importance of taking action now to tackle the PM 2.5 crisis. By increasing the availability of electric vehicles, we’re not just offering a greener transportation alternative, we’re taking a proactive step toward improving air quality and contributing to the long-term health of our communities,” said Mr. Pongpath Aksaraworakarn, Executive of Maxim Thailand.

Currently, Maxim has integrated over 2,500 electric vehicle drivers in Bangkok and Chiang Mai, offering passengers a convenient way to travel sustainably while helping reduce environmental impact. These ongoing efforts not only addresses immediate air quality concerns but also supports long-term sustainable development in urban areas.
