Crewe : Bentley Rancho Mirage has received the first ‘Ombré by Mulliner’ Collection, featuring three different Bentley models each demonstrating a new Ombré paint scheme. After commissioning the ‘Expressions of Texture’ Collection in 2024, this latest regional collection from Mulliner for Rancho Mirage marks the first application of the Ombré paint finish to a Continental GTC, and the reveal of two new colour combinations: Sunburst Gold to Orange Flame, and Tungsten into Onyx.
Ombré – referring to the gradual blending of one colour into another – creates a smooth transition from light to dark. The stunning collection was produced in the first half of 2025, with the first car – a Continental GT fading from Topaz to Windsor Blue – being presented as part of Bentley’s presence at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering during Monterey Car Week. Each model perfectly reflects the duality of character that defines each Bentley.

This technique had never been attempted before at Bentley, and seeing the exceptional result has inspired our customers to explore the limitless opportunities for bespoke personalisation the brand offers.”
Harmony Throughout
To complement the paintwork on each car, the 22” ten-spoke swept wheels are finished in bespoke paint, echoing the car’s exterior finish with different coloration front and rear. In the cabin, a graded approach and finish have been executed to mirror and highlight the exterior paint finish. The forward cabin of each car features bespoke hide to the front seats, steering wheel and instrument panel to match the paint on the front half of the car. Similarly, the rear cabin reflects the rear exterior paint to match, with bespoke leather to the seats and door. Further attention to detail is implemented in the seat piping and stitching with accents in paint matched colours for each model. With colour at the heart of this collection, cabin surfaces take a tactile approach, featuring Satin Beluga painted veneers on the centre console, instrument panel, and treadplate carriers, visible when the doors are open.
California Inspired
Taking inspiration from nature’s palette, each colour pairing has been carefully curated to create a seamless, gradual transition between shades – ensuring harmony between the two tones without a third hue emerging in the blend.
The Continental GTC Speed, finished in a gradient from Sunburst Gold to Orange Flame, echoes the rich tones of Monument Valley and the Painted Desert – landscapes defined by shifting light and layers of ochre and red sandstone. The interior features the front half of the cabin in a bespoke hide colour of Sunburst Gold and rear half of the cabin in Orange, with accents and pinstriping in Tangerine to accentuate the contrast stitching. The Convertible offers an ideal canvas for customers to curate a more vibrant and flamboyant bespoke interior.
The Continental GT Speed, in bright Topaz to dark Windsor Blue, draws inspiration from the open coastal roads around Monterey, its deep blues mirroring the movement and energy of the Pacific Ocean. The interior is similarly matched to the exterior, with the front half of the cabin in an energetic Topaz leather and rear half of the cabin in a dark Ocean Blue complemented by Dragon Fly accents to seat piping and stitching.
The Flying Spur Speed, fading from metallic Tungsten into Onyx, nods to the night skies over Southern California. The interior echoes this contrast with Porpoise to the front half and Anthracite for the rear half. A brighter Stratos accent colour is used to highlight the stitching, seat piping and emblem stitching. The contrast between light and shadow reflects the dual character of the car itself – a serene saloon that is as rewarding to drive as it is to be driven in.
The Ombré paint process takes nearly 60 hours to complete and is hand-applied by two highly skilled specialists at the Bentley Dream Factory in Crewe, England. The fade occurs through the mid-section of the car across the doors, sills and roof. Ensuring perfect symmetry across the bodywork, the paint is applied with extreme care and in multiple stages to achieve the Ombré effect.
The skill lies in how the technicians respond to the application of the paint during this process as each colour behaves differently. The result is a finish that is both unique and flawless to the naked eye.
