บี-ควิก แอบโซลูต เรซซิ่ง พอใจกับผลงานช่วงสุดสัปดาห์ ในฐานะทีมแข่งไทยที่เข้าร่วมในศึก จีที เวิล์ด ชาลเลนจ์ เอเชีย พร้อมด้วยนักแข่งและรถแข่งคันใหม่
จีที เวิล์ด ชาลเลนจ์ เอเชีย เป็นศึกดวลความเร็วทางเรียบระดับเวิล์ดคลาสที่มีรถแข่งจีที3 และนักขับระดับมือโปรมากมายเข้าร่วมการแข่งขัน
นับเป็นการแข่งขันท้าทายอย่างมาก เนื่องจากทีมต้องเผชิญหน้ากับทีมแข่งระดับโลก
เมื่อปีที่แล้ว ทีมได้ส่งรถแข่งออดี้ของเราลงแข่งขันที่สนามบุรีรัมย์ และในปีนี้ ทีมได้ส่งรถแข่งลัมโบร์กีนี ฮูราแคน จีที3 อีโว2 หมายเลข 19 ลงดวลความเร็ว ซึ่งเป็นครั้งแรกที่ทีมส่งรถแข่งจากค่ายกระทิงดุลงสนาม
ในการแข่งขันครั้งนี้ ทีมได้จับคู่ เฮงก์ กิกส์ กับ ลอริส สปิเนลลี นักขับทีมโรงงานจากลัมโบร์กีนี
เฮงก์เพิ่งคว้าดับเบิลโพเดียมจากรายการ ทีเอสเอส เดอะ ซูเปอร์ ซีรีส์ เมื่อสุดสัปดาห์ที่แล้ว และพร้อมสำหรับศึกครั้งนี้อย่างเต็มที่ ในขณะที่ลอริสนั้นมีดีกรีแชมป์รายการลัมโบร์กีนี ซูเปอร์ โทรฟีโอ และยังเคยสร้างความประทับใจในศึกเอนดูรานซ์สุดคลาสสิกอย่าง เดย์โทน่า 24 ชั่วโมง, เซบริง 12 ชั่วโมง และ สปา 24 ชั่วโมง
รถแข่งฮูราแคนหมายเลข 19 ออกตัวได้ดีในการดวลที่สนามช้างฯ หลังจากอันดับในรอบควอิฟายนั้นไม่ดีนัก เนื่องจากสภาพแทร็กที่มีการเปลี่ยนแปลง ทำให้ต้องออกสตาร์ทจากกริดแถวสุดท้าย แต่ด้วยความมุ่งมั่นของเฮงก์และลอริส ทำให้รถจบการแข่งขันด้วยอันดับที่ 5 ในรุ่น และอันดับที่ 8 โอเวอร์ออล
ในการดวลเรซที่ 2 การออกนำของเซฟตี้คาร์ในช่วงต้นเกมไม่ได้ส่งผลดีกับทีม แต่เราก็ยังคงมุ่งมั่นกับการแข่ง โดยทีมจบที่อันดับ 8 ในรุ่น และอันดับที่ 18 โอเวอร์ออล ซึ่งเป็นผลงานที่ทีมค่อนข้างพอใจ โดยเฉพาะเมื่อต้องปะทะกับทีมแข่งระดับโลก
นอกจากนี้ นี่ยังเป็นครั้งแรกที่มีรถแข่งภายใต้ลวดลายสีดำ-เหลืองลงดวลถึง 2 คัน ในรายการ จีที เวิล์ด ชาลเลนจ์ โดยรถอีกคันหนึ่ง คือ รถปอร์เช่ 911 จีที3-อาร์ หมายเลข 911 สังกัดแอบโซลูต เรซซิ่ง ซึ่งมี หวังจงเว่ย นักขับชาวจีน และ แพทริก พิเลต นักขับชาวฝรั่งเสศ รับหน้าที่หลังพวงมาลัย
ตอนนี้ทีมกำลังมุ่งความสนใจไปยังศึกรถยนต์ทางเรียบที่ยิ่งใหญ่ที่สุด น่าตื่นเต้นที่สุด และมีชื่อเสียงที่สุดในประเทศไทย นั่นคือรายการ บางแสน กรังด์ปรีซ์ ซึ่งจะจัดขึ้นในวันที่ 3-4 กรกฎาคม
การแข่งขันรายการนี้ถือเป็นการแข่งขันรถยนต์ทางเรียบระดับตำนานที่น่าตื่นตาตื่นใจที่สุดเท่าที่มีมา และจะมีรถแข่งที่นั่งเดี่ยว (Single seat) ลงดวลที่สนามนี้เป็นครั้งแรก ซึ่งจะช่วยเพิ่มสีสันให้กับรายการ นอกเหนือจาศึกกรุ่นใหญ่อย่างซูเปอร์คาร์

B Quik Absolute Racing Enjoys Strong Weekend in Burirum in Specail GT World Challenge Asia Entry
B-Quik Absolute Racing enjoyed a very special weekend as the Thai team made a one-off appearance in GT World Challenge Asia powered by AWS with a new car and driver on the roster.
GT World Challenge Asia is a world class championship with more than two dozen GT3 cars and a stack of the best professional drivers on the entry list.
It’s a daunting challenge – and that’s just the challenge the team wants to face, mixing it up with the world’s best.
Last year for our one-off appearance in the series’ Buriram round we deployed one of our Audi roster, this year we entered the #19 Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2, the first time the team has ever entered a racecar from the Raging Bull brand.
For this race we paired Henk Kiks with Lamborghini factory driver Loris Spinelli.
Kiks was coming straight off a successful double GT3 podium the week before in TSS The Super Series and was sharp and ready while Spinelli is up to speed as a multiple champion in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo series while also impressing in endurance classics such as the 24 Hours of Daytona, 12 Hours of Sebring, and 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps.
The #19 Huracán hit the ground running at Chang International Circuit and after a compromised qualifying due to changing track conditions put us down the starting grid, an incredible fighting drive by Kiks and Spinelli saw the car finish fifth in class and eighth overall.
In Race 2 the early deployment of the Safety Car didn’t work to our favour but still we turned in another solid result, eighth in class and eighteenth overall, capping off a very pleasing result for the team.
For the first time ever, we had two black and yellow liveried cars on a GT World Challenge grid as the #911 Absolute Racing Porsche 911 GT3-R shared China’s Zhongwei Wang and France’s Patrick Pilet also ran in our colours. They were ninth in class in Race 1 but retired in Race 2.
Now we immediately turn our attention to the biggest, most exciting and most prestigious motor race in Thailand, the Bangsaen Grand Prix, which comes up on 3-6 July.
This promises to be the most spectacular edition of the iconic street race ever and with single seaters set to hit the circuit for the first time that will add extra icing to complement the headlining Super Car programme.
We are hungry for wins and our full focus is now pointed in this direction.
