โอกาสนี้ บีวายดีได้ส่งมอบรถยนต์ไฟฟ้า BYD DOLPHIN ซึ่งเป็นรถยนต์พลังงานใหม่คันที่แปดล้าน และได้รับการผลิตที่โรงงานแห่งนี้ ให้กับมูลนิธิแม่ฟ้าหลวง ในพระบรมราชูปถัมภ์ เพื่อตอกย้ำความมุ่งมั่นด้านนวัตกรรมและการคมนาคมที่ยั่งยืน โดยได้รับเกียรติจากนายหวัง ชวนฟู่ ประธานกรรมการและประธานบริษัท บีวายดี กรุ๊ป เป็นประธานในพิธีเปิดโรงงาน พร้อมมอบรถแก่ตัวแทนมูลนิธิ หม่อมหลวงดิศปนัดดา ดิศกุล ประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหาร มูลนิธิแม่ฟ้าหลวง ในพระบรมราชูปถัมภ์
โรงงานผลิตรถยนต์บีวายดีแห่งนี้มีพื้นที่กว่า 948,000 ตารางเมตร ใช้เวลาก่อสร้างเพียง 16 เดือนนับจากพิธิเปิดหน้าดิน มาพร้อมแนวคิดการลดใช้พลังงานและคาร์บอนต่ำ ครบครันด้วยเครื่องจักรกลอัตโนมัติ กระบวนการผลิตที่เป็นมิตรกับสิ่งแวดล้อม และระบบบริหารจัดการโลจิสติกส์ล้ำสมัย ครอบคลุม 4 ขั้นตอนการผลิตยานยนต์ ได้แก่ การขึ้นรูป การเชื่อม การทำสี และการประกอบ ทั้งหมดนี้ เพื่อการผลิตยานยนต์ไฟฟ้าคุณภาพสูงและได้มาตรฐานสำหรับตลาดประเทศไทย โรงงานแห่งนี้มีกำลังการผลิตสูงสุดถึง 150,000 คันต่อปี ได้แก่ BYD DOLPHIN, BYD ATTO 3, BYD SEAL และ BYD SEALION 6 รวมถึงสามารถผลิตชิ้นส่วนสำคัญอย่างแบตเตอรี่และระบบส่งกำลังได้อีกด้วย สำหรับในอนาคต เมื่อโรงงานดำเนินงานอย่างเต็มรูปแบบ คาดว่าจะสร้างงานได้กว่า 10,000 ตำแหน่ง
นายหวัง ชวนฟู่ ประธานกรรมการและประธานบริษัท บีวายดี กรุ๊ป กล่าวว่า “บีวายดีได้รับการยอมรับอย่างรวดเร็วหลังจากเข้าสู่ตลาดประเทศไทยได้เพียง 2 ปี โดยประสบความสำเร็จในการเป็นผู้นำด้านยอดขายรถยนต์พลังงานไฟฟ้าติดต่อกันถึง 18 เดือน ในอนาคต บีวายดีวางแผนที่จะเปิดตัวรถยนต์ไฟฟ้า 100% และรถยนต์ปลั๊กอินไฮบริดเพิ่มเติมในประเทศไทย เราจะผสานความเป็นเลิศด้านการผลิตในประเทศเข้ากับเทคโนโลยีพลังงานใหม่ขั้นสูงของบีวายดี เพื่อส่งเสริมความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างจีนและไทยให้แน่นแฟ้นยิ่งขึ้น”

BYD opens manufacturing facility in Thailand, accelerating country’s transformation towards EV hub of ASEAN
– Celebrating the inauguration with the delivery of BYD’s 8 millionth new energy vehicle to the Mae Fah Laung Foundation under Royal Patronage
Rayong : BYD, a high-tech company devoted to technological innovations for a better life, together with RÊVER Automotive, the official distributor and aftersales service provider of BYD electric vehicles in Thailand, under the RÊVER Group, today inaugurated the BYD Thailand Plant, a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in the WHA Industrial Estate, Rayong province. The factory will serve as a production base for right-hand drive (RHD) new energy vehicles and supporting domestic sales and exports to other countries in ASEAN. This marks a significant step in BYD’s global expansion strategy and its commitment to the Southeast Asian market as well as to the Thai government’s policy to promote electric vehicle production, aiming for 30% of all vehicles manufactured in the country to be electric by 2030.
On this occasion, BYD DOLPHIN, the brand’s 8 millionth new energy vehicle manufactured at this facility was delivered to the Mae Fah Laung Foundation under Royal Patronage, signifying the company’s dedication to innovation and sustainable transportation. Mr. Wang Chuanfu, Chairman and President of BYD, presided over the inauguration ceremony and delivered the said vehicle to M.L. Dispanadda Diskul, Chief Executive Officer and Secretary General of the Mae Fah Laung Foundation under Royal Patronage.
Spanning 948,000 square meters, the new facility took only 16 months from groundbreaking to completion. Equipped with the low energy consumption and low-carbon concept, it features automated machinery and environmentally friendly production processes, while employing an advanced logistics management system. The plant encompasses four major vehicle manufacturing processes: stamping, welding, painting, and assembly. This focus on innovation ensures the production of high-quality, reliable electric vehicles for the Thai market. In addition, the factory now boasts an annual production capacity of up to 150,000 BYD vehicles including BYD DOLPHIN, BYD ATTO 3, BYD SEAL, and BYD SEALION 6, along with producing key components such as batteries and transmissions. Once fully operational, the plant is expected to create around 10,000 jobs in the future.
Mr. Wang Chuanfu，Chairman and President of BYD group, stated: “BYD has quickly gained recognition in the Thai market within just two years of entering it, achieving eighteen consecutive months as the top seller in pure electric vehicle sales.
