ภารกิจสำรวจทรัพยากรธรรมชาติ เพื่อปฏิบัติการฟื้นฟูและรักษาผืนป่าที่กำลังถูกรุกราน และสัตว์ป่าที่เหลือน้อยลงทุกที เป็นงานใหญ่ที่ต้องอาศัยความร่วมมือจากหลายฝ่าย ล่าสุด นิสสัน มอเตอร์ (ประเทศไทย) ได้นำ นิสสัน นาวารา กระบะพันธุ์อึดที่ “ทน พร้อม ลุย” มาสนับสนุนการทำงานสุดท้าทายขององค์การกองทุนสัตว์ป่าโลกสากลหรือ WWF ในผืนป่าสำคัญสองแห่งของไทย คือ อุทยานแห่งชาติแก่งกรุง จ.สุราษฎร์ธานี และอุทยานแห่งชาติแม่วงก์-คลองลาน จ.กำแพงเพชร
อุทยานแห่งชาติแก่งกรุง เป็นพื้นที่ป่าในแนวเขาสลับซับซ้อนที่ทอดตัวตามแนวเหนือใต้ ฝนตกชุก จึงเป็นแหล่งทรัพยากรป่าไม้ที่สำคัญในภาคใต้ และมีสัตว์ป่าหายาก ทั้งช้างป่า เสือ หมี กระทิง วัวแดง และสัตว์อื่น ๆ อีกมากมาย ส่วนอุทยานแห่งชาติแม่วงก์-คลองลาน จ.กำแพงเพชร มีพื้นที่ติดต่อกับผืนป่ามรดกโลกทางธรรมชาติทุ่งใหญ่ฯ – ห้วยขาแข้ง และเป็นแหล่งที่พบเสือโคร่งจำนวนมากที่สุดในประเทศไทย และภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้
พื้นที่ป่าทั้งสองแห่งมีความหลากหลายทางชีวภาพสูงจึงเป็นแหล่งศึกษาพรรณพืชและสัตว์ที่น่าสนใจ และเป็นหนึ่งในพื้นที่เป้าหมายที่ WWF ได้ร่วมกับกรมป่าไม้ กรมอุทยานแห่งชาติ สัตว์ป่า และพันธุ์พืช รวมถึงหน่วยงานภาครัฐ สถาบันการศึกษา และหน่วยงานพันธมิตรหลายแห่ง ในการเก็บข้อมูล เพื่อติดตามการเปลี่ยนแปลงของทรัพยากรธรรมชาติ ตลอดจนการดำเนินการโครงการสำคัญของโลก คือ โครงการฟื้นฟูประชากรเสือโคร่ง ที่อุทยานแห่งชาติแม่วงก์-คลองลาน
รถกระบะนิสสัน นาวารา รุ่น PRO-4X ที่ “ทน พร้อม ลุย” ด้วยประโยชน์ใช้สอยเต็มพิกัด จำนวน 2 คันที่นิสสัน ประเทศไทยสนับสนุนให้แก่ WWF เป็นเวลา 6 เดือน ถูกใช้ในภารกิจศึกษา วิจัย ดูแล ฟื้นฟูพื้นที่ป่า และสัตว์ป่า โดยทำหน้าที่นำทีมนักวิจัยขนสัมภาระใหญ่ เช่น นำกล้องดักถ่ายภาพอัตโนมัติ เข้าไปติดตั้งในป่าลึกเพื่อศึกษาจำนวน และพฤติกรรมสัตว์ป่า หรือบรรทุกอุปกรณ์สำหรับการบินโดรนเพื่อถ่ายภาพเก็บข้อมูลพื้นที่ป่าเพื่อติดตามการฟื้นฟูป่า และความเสี่ยงในการบุกรุกใช้ประโยชน์พื้นที่ป่า เป็นต้น เพื่อนำข้อมูลเหล่านี้มาใช้ในการวางแผนอนุรักษ์และฟื้นฟูสิ่งแวดล้อม
วฤทธิ์ ภักดียิ่งยง รองประธานสายงานการขาย นิสสัน มอเตอร์ (ประเทศไทย) เปิดเผยว่า “นิสสัน ประเทศไทยในฐานะที่เป็นสมาชิกของสังคมไทยมานานกว่า 71 ปี ได้ร่วมสนับสนุนกิจกรรมด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมในหลายๆ ด้านอย่างต่อเนื่อง ในปีนี้ เราได้ขยายขอบเขตการทำงาน โดยร่วมมือกับ WWF ในภารกิจอนุรักษ์ทรัพยากรป่าไม้ และสัตว์ป่าในพื้นที่อื่นๆ เราเชื่อว่าการสนับสนุนจากนิสสัน ประเทศไทยจะช่วยเพิ่มความสะดวกในการปฏิบัติงานในพื้นที่ที่เข้าถึงได้ยาก และมีประสิทธิภาพมากขึ้นด้วยรถยนต์สมรรถนะสูงของเรา รวมถึงเป็นกำลังใจ ช่วยให้ผู้ปฏิบัติงานในพื้นที่บรรลุเป้าหมายด้านการอนุรักษ์ทรัพยากรทางธรรมชาติที่มีค่าเพื่อประโยชน์ของคนไทย และโลกของเรา”

ธนะสิน ยิ้มน้อย ผู้จัดการโครงการ Eyes on the forest องค์การกองทุนสัตว์ป่าโลกสากล สำนักงานประเทศไทย หรือ WWF ประเทศไทยกล่าวว่า “การสนับสนุนจากพันธมิตรอย่างนิสสัน ประเทศไทยช่วยให้ทีม WWF เข้าถึงพื้นที่ปฏิบัติงานที่เส้นทางเต็มไปด้วยความท้าทายได้สะดวก รวดเร็วยิ่งขึ้น แม้ในช่วงฤดูฝนที่ทำให้การเดินทางยากกว่าปกติ การเก็บข้อมูลต่างๆ เพื่อสนับสนุนแผนอนุรักษ์ป่าไม้และสัตว์ป่าจึงทำได้รวดเร็ว และมีประสิทธิภาพมากยิ่งขึ้น ความก้าวหน้าของการดำเนินงานของ WWF ไม่เพียงแต่จะสร้างประโยชน์ต่อคนในพื้นที่และประเทศไทยเท่านั้น แต่ยังส่งผลต่อความยั่งยืนทางธรรมชาติของภูมิภาค และเป็นข้อมูลอ้างอิงที่ดีสำหรับการอนุรักษ์ในพื้นที่ต่างๆ ทั่วโลกด้วย”
กีรติ เพชรทอง หัวหน้าอุทยานแห่งชาติแก่งกรุง กล่าวว่า “งานอนุรักษ์ป่า และสัตว์ป่าเป็นงานปิดทองหลังพระ ยากที่คนทั่วไปจะได้เห็นความยากลำบาก กำลังกายและใจที่ผู้ปฏิบัติงานทุกคนทุ่มเทให้ การสนับสนุนจากนิสสัน ประเทศไทยและ WWF เป็นการบูรณาการความร่วมมือของทุกภาคส่วน ที่ช่วยกันทำงานในส่วนที่ตนเองมีความเชี่ยวชาญ ซึ่งจะขับเคลื่อนงานอนุรักษ์ทรัพยากรธรรมชาติให้เดินหน้าได้อย่างต่อเนื่อง และยังเป็นกำลังใจให้เจ้าหน้าที่ทุกคนปฏิบัติงานอย่างเต็มที่ เพื่อความยั่งยืนทางธรรมชาติของไทยและของโลกด้วย”
นอกจากการสนับสนุนรถกระบะนิสสัน นาวาร่าแล้ว นิสสัน ประเทศไทยยังได้ร่วมมือกับผู้จำหน่ายในพื้นที่ จัดกิจกรรมสนับสนุนการอนุรักษ์และฟื้นฟูธรรมชาติ อาทิ การฝายชะลอน้ำที่บ้านแม่ตะไคร้ อ. แม่อร จ. เชียงใหม่ เพื่อรักษาความชุ่มชื้นในดินและลดการชะล้างหน้าดิน เพื่อฟื้นฟูความสมบูรณ์ของป่าในระยะยาว และการสร้างโป่งเทียม เพิ่มแร่ธาตุสำหรับสัตว์ป่าที่อุทยานแห่งชาติแก่งกรุง

Durable and Versatile Nissan Navara Pickups Join WWF’s Forest Preservation and Wildlife Rehabilitation Mission
With the constant encroachment on natural forests and increasingly endangered wildlife, forest and wildlife preservation is an urgent task that requires cooperation from all. Nissan Motor (Thailand) recently provided the Nissan Navara, the pickup truck known for its durability, utility & technology, and driving performance or “Ton-Prom-Lui” qualities, to support the World Wide Fund For Nature Thailand (WWF)’s work in Kaeng Krung National Park in Surat Thani, and Mae Wong – Khlong Lan National Park in Kamphaengphet.
Kaeng Krung National Park covers a large mountainous area in the South of Thailand and has heavy rainfall almost all year round. It is home to rare plants and wildlife species, such as elephants, tigers, bears, bulls, banteng and tapirs. The Mae Wong – Khlong Lan National Park, which borders the Thung Yai Wildlife Sanctuary – Huay Kha Khaeng and is registered as Natural World Heritage Site by UNESCO, is also an important area as it is home to the largest number of tigers in Southeast Asia.
The rich biodiversity of both these national parks are among the areas where the WWF has been working with the Royal Forest Department, Department of National Park, Wildlife and Plant Conservation Department, government bodies, educational institutes, and many partner organizations to survey, collect data, and monitor the changes in the forests and wildlife, as well as implementing major projects, such as the Tiger Recovery Project.
Nissan Thailand has provided WWF with two Nissan Navara PRO-4X for six months. The pickup trucks, known for their “Ton Prom Lui” qualities or toughness & durability, utility & technology, and driving performance, will be used in WWF’s research, protection and rehabilitation of the forests and wildlife. The pickups will also be used to transport equipment for camera trap installation to collect data about the number of animals and their behaviors, and for drone imaging to survey and monitor changes in forest area and the risks of forest encroachment.

Kirati Phatthong, Superintendent of Kaeng Krung National Park, Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation, said, “Wildlife and plant conservation is tough and requires high commitment. It is hard for other people to see how hard we work. The support from Nissan Thailand and WWF is an admirable example of integrated efforts from the private sector to use their expertise to help us carry out natural resource conservation in a more efficient manner. At the same time, everyone working on the frontline will be cheered by the knowledge that their work for the sustainability of Thailand and global natural resources is appreciated by others.”
In addition, Nissan Thailand has also encouraged local dealers and their employees to join natural resource conservation activities. Earlier this year, Nissan Thailand and its northern dealer made a check dam in Mae Ta Krai Village, Mae On District, Chiang Mai. Later, the car maker joined its dealer in the south to make a salt lick at Kaeng Krung National Park.
Such activity is part of Nissan Thailand’s commitment to supporting its partners in environmental preservation in Thailand and to making sound contribution to Thailand.
