ทั้งนี้ ตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ. 2529 บริษัท โตโยต้า มอเตอร์ ประเทศไทย จำกัด เริ่มบุกเบิกวงการมอเตอร์สปอร์ตไทย มาจนถึงปัจจุบัน ด้วยเจตนารมณ์ที่จะยกระดับและเพิ่มความนิยมในกีฬาประเภทนี้ให้แพร่หลายในหลากหลายรูปแบบ และครอบคลุมทุกระดับ ไม่ว่าจะด้วยการจัดการแข่งขัน การส่งทีมเข้าร่วมการแข่งขัน และให้การสนับสนุนให้แก่ผู้ที่มีความฝันตั้งแต่ระดับเยาวชน ไปจนถึงนักแข่งระดับอาชีพ ให้ได้มีโอกาสสร้างชื่อเสียงให้กับประเทศ โดยจากความทุ่มเทในการพัฒนาวงการมอเตอร์สปอร์ตไทยอย่างต่อเนื่อง โตโยต้าได้ก้าวขึ้นเป็นผู้นำในวงการนี้อย่างแท้จริง
มร.โนริอากิ ยามาชิตะ กรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่ กล่าวว่า “ขอขอบคุณทุกความเชื่อมั่นและความไว้วางใจที่ทุกท่านมีให้กับผลิตภัณฑ์ของเรา ทำให้ยอดจองของโตโยต้าทั่วประเทศทั้งหมดในช่วงมอเตอร์โชว์ มีมากกว่า 21,000 คัน ซึ่งเป็นยอดจองภายในงานมอเตอร์โชว์ มากกว่า 9,600 คัน และจากยอดจอง 9,600 คัน อยู่ในระหว่างขออนุมัติสินเชื่อจากสถาบันการเงิน โดยโตโยต้าคาดว่าจะสามารถส่งมอบรถ สู่ลูกค้าในพื้นที่กรุงเทพและปริมณฑลกว่า 7,600 คัน ภายในเดือนเมษายน
สำหรับโตโยต้า กีฬามอเตอร์สปอร์ตคือรากฐานในการสร้างยนตรกรรมที่ดียิ่งกว่า เราได้ขยายความร่วมมือกับพันธมิตร ผ่านการแข่งขันอีกหลายรายการทั่วโลก เพราะเราเชื่อว่า “ถนนสร้างคน และคนสร้างรถ” โดยการเข้าร่วมการแข่งรถในสนามต่างๆ ควบคู่ไปกับการพัฒนาเทคโนโลยีให้ดียิ่งขึ้น สะท้อนกลับมาสู่ไลน์อัพของผลิตภัณฑ์ที่จำหน่ายให้กับลูกค้า นอกจากนี้ ยังเป็นการสะท้อนความมุ่งมั่นในการพัฒนาเทคโนโลยีเพื่อมุ่งสู่ความเป็นกลางทางคาร์บอน ภายใต้กลยุทธ์ความหลากหลายด้านทางเลือก (Toyota multiple pathway) ปัจจุบัน เราได้ขยายความร่วมมือกับ โตโยต้า มอเตอร์ เอเชีย (TMA) เป็นศูนย์วิจัยและพัฒนาผลิตภัณฑ์ ในภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ ที่ตั้งอยู่ในประเทศไทย เพื่อพัฒนายนตรกรรมและชิ้นส่วนรถยนต์ให้ดียิ่งกว่าสามารถตอบสนองความต้องการของลูกค้าและ สามารถตอบสนองสนามแข่งมอเตอร์สปอร์ตอันหฤโหดได้อย่างแท้จริง”
ในปีที่ผ่านมา รถกระบะ Hilux Revo GR Sport 4X4 ได้รับการพัฒนาช่วงล่างให้ดียิ่งขึ้น โดยฝีมือวิศวกรชาวไทย ยังสามารถคว้าชัยชนะ แชมป์อันดับ 1 ในรายการ Asia Cross Country Rally 2024 และในปีนี้เรายังได้ส่งรถยนต์ไฮบริดรุ่น Yaris Cross HEV ในการแข่งขันแรลลี่ ที่จัดโดย ราชยานยนต์สมาคม แห่งประเทศไทย ในพระบรมราชูปถัมภ์ (RAAT Rally) ซึ่งรุ่นนี้จะมีการปรับช่วงล่าง และเครื่องยนต์ไฮบริดเพื่อการแข่งขัน
ความสำเร็จเหล่านี้ไม่ได้เป็นเพียงแค่แรงบันดาลใจสู่การพัฒนา “ยนตรกรรมและชิ้นส่วนรถยนต์ที่ดียิ่งกว่า” แต่ยังนำไปสู่การพัฒนาเทคโนโลยีเพื่อมุ่งสู่ความเป็นกลางทางคาร์บอน ที่เห็นได้จากการพัฒนารถที่ใช้เชื้อเพลิงที่มีความเป็นกลางทางคาร์บอน 2 รุ่น เพื่อเข้าร่วมการแข่งขันบนสนามแข่ง ซึ่งได้แก่ Yaris Carbon Neutral Fuel และ Ativ Carbon Neutral Fuel นอกจากนี้ โตโยต้ามีการสนับสนุนทีมแข่ง Toyota Gazoo Racing Thailand ในการแข่งขันทั้งในรูปแบบแรลลี่ และแบบเซอร์กิต เพื่อเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของการวิจัยและพัฒนารถยนต์โตโยต้าในอนาคต ในประเทศไทย โตโยต้าเป็นผู้นำของวงการมอเตอร์สปอร์ต ด้วยประวัติศาสตร์อันยาวนาน กว่า 39 ปี โดยกิจกรรม Toyota Gazoo Racing Thailand จะสร้างความสนุกสนานความเร้าใจของกีฬามอเตอร์สปอร์ตแล้ว กิจกรรมนี้ยังเป็นการส่งเสริมแนวทางการพัฒนารถยนต์สมรรถนะสูงของโตโยต้าที่น่าเชื่อถือที่สุด”

Mr. Noriaki Yamashita, President of Toyota Motor Thailand Company Limited, and Mr.Prutirat Ratanakul Serireongrith, President of The Royal Automobile Association of Thailand under Royal Patronage, alongside Mr. Suphakorn Rattanawaraha, Executive Vice President of Toyota Motor Thailand Company Limited, jointly presided over the “Toyota Gazoo Racing Thailand 2025” Press Conference on 29 April 2025, at TOYOTA ALIVE, Bangna-Trad KM 3.
Since 1986, Toyota Motor Thailand Company Limited has played a pivotal role in spearheading motorsports in Thailand. Throughout the years, Toyota has been a trailblazer in developing and popularizing the sport. This includes organizing racing competitions, establishing Toyota’s own racing teams to challenge in various racing series, fostering talents across all levels from aspiring youths to experienced professionals, and offering opportunities for Thai racers to showcase their skills on a global stage. Thanks to the unwavering dedication to the continuous advancement of Thai motorsports, Toyota has genuinely secured the position as a dominant player in the industry.
Mr. Noriaki Yamashita, President of Toyota Motor Thailand Company Limited, said in the press conference, “Welcome to “the 2025 Toyota Gazoo Racing Thailand Press Conference” today. And thank you for your continuous supports on our motorsport activity as well as on your support on the Bangkok International Motor Show. Thanks to your support, we got 9600 booking at the Bangkok International Motor Show, and including those more than 21000 booking nationwide. And we will be able to deliver 7600 to the customers in the metro area during April, mainly to customers who made booking at the Motor Show.
For Toyota, motorsports activity is the foundation of “making ever-better cars”. We also have expanding partnerships with many race programs around the world. We believe that “Roads build people, and people build cars” and through our participation in the races, we will continually improve our technology, which will be reflected in our models. It also reflects our technology developments towards carbon neutrality based on our multiple pathway strategy.
Last year, Toyota won the Asia Cross Country Rally Championship with the Hilux Revo GR Sport 4X4 equipped with an improved suspension developed in part with Thai engineers. So, this year, we will also participate in the RAAT rally with Yaris Cross HEV, which will have improved suspension and HEV powertrain.
They will not only contribute to the development of “Ever-Better car and Parts”, but also to the development of technology towards carbon neutrality.
